Ghost Town

Leaving Petra early in the morning, we  followed the ancient Kings Highway to Dana.  This ancient village was interesting to stroll through and the scenery over the valley spectacular. It was once inhabited by citizens who were told to move because of it's historic value, so it is now a ghost town.

After lunch the bus took us to Madaba to visit the Greek Orthodox church of St. George, which houses a 6th century mosaic map depicting the old city of Jersusalem. Mum opted to take a different route going to Mt Nebo instead.  In the evening, we made it to Amman.
